In connection with the release of "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted",  Royal Caribbean is offering a content to sail with Alex, Gloria, King Julien and the Penguins on select ships featuring the DreamWorks Experience offered exclusively on Royal Caribbean.

You can visit Facebook.com/RoyalCaribbean to enter the contest through June 20 for your chance to win the "Madagascar at Sea" sweepstakes.  The two grand prizes are a seven-night cruise for four to Europe or the Caribbean, while one daily winner will earn a $25 gift card for correctly answering trivia about the cruise line and the “Madagascar” franchise.

To celebrate the release of “Madagascar 3” Royal Caribbean ships featuring the DreamWorks Experience, Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas, will host special screenings of the movie in 3D throughout the summer, plus offer exclusive content – including movie trailers and behind the scenes videos – as well as the chance to win prizes, such as movie posters, DVDs, character photos and more during daily trivia and other onboard activities.

Royal Caribbean looking for passengers to help name new cupcake

Royal Caribbean is looking for help naming a new cupcake in its Cupcake Cupboard restaurant that can be found on Oasis class sized ships as well as some other ships after recent upgrades.

Here are the cupcake ingredients

Cupcakes
2 cups (465 g) gluten-free flour
½ cup (115 g) brown sugar
2 teaspoons (10 g) baking powder
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) baking soda
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
1 egg
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
½ cup pumpkin purée, canned
¾ cup milk or buttermilk or soy milk
1/3 cup (90 ml) vegetable oil
½ cup (115 g) dried cranberries

Frosting
1 batch of light buttercream frosting mixed with ½ teaspoon nutmeg

Royal Caribbean invites you to help name new onboard Lifstyle Magazine

Royal Caribbean is asking its guests to name its new lifestyle magazine that will be found aboard its ships in passenger staterooms.

You may nominate 5 names per person.  The winning magazine name will be used for Royal Caribbean's onboard Lifestyle Magazine.  In addition  the winner will recognized in the Crown & Anchor Society newsletter as well as in the magazine.

This contest has a wide range of impact because the winning name will be in every stateroom, on every ship, showcasing destinations, dining, behind the scenes coverage and more.

Royal Caribbean celebrates two year anniversary of Brazil office opening

Royal Caribbean is celebrating the second anniversary of the opening of its office in Brazil this July. To celebrate, Royal Caribbean created a contest in their social media networks, in which participants sent photos of special moments onboard Royal Caribbean ships. The contest had over 2000 participants, which sent almost 10 000 photos. The winning photo was the theme of the campaign to commemorate the company.

In these two years, Royal Caribbean was a major player in the growing cruise market in Brazil, brought the largest ship of last season, Mariner of the Seas, and continued investing in the Brazilian market with other ships, Splendour of the Seas and Vision of the Seas. For the 2011/2012 season , Royal Caribbean will try to continue its success, with a new, Splendour of the Seas back completely revitalized with new dining options and more cabins with balconies.

The chief executive of the company in Brazil, Ricardo Amaral, was recently announced as the new director for Latin America and the Caribbean, in a move that demonstrates the company's focus on international markets and especially in Brazil.

Royal Caribbean celebrates two years in Brazil with a contest

Royal Caribbean has started a promotion to create a special announcement commemorating his two years in Brazil.

"You are the star of two years of Royal Caribbean" will be the campaign running with a photo of a guest of the company.  To enter the contest, the participant must upload a photo of him or herself on board a Royal Caribbean ship to any of its social media outlets (facebook, twitter, flickr, orkut, picasa, etc.) and send a link to the email address [email protected].

The best photo wins a mini cruise on board the Vision of the Seas will be the subject of the announcement and celebration.

Guess how long this ice lady will last

Royal Caribbean has another Facebook based contest going where they want to see who can most accurately guess how long this ice sculpture onboard Explorer of the Seas will last.  

Standing approximately six feet tall and weighing 300 pounds, this ice sculpture will be aboard Explorer of the Seas for a nine-night Caribbean cruise that sails out of Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ.  If you think you can guess how long she can last, you can submit your answer on the Royal Caribbean Facebook page.  The winner will win their own Caribbean cruise.

Royal Caribbean launches photo contest

If the winter blues have got you down, you can turn that misery into a Caribbean cruise vacation.  Royal Caribbean is inviting everyone to send in their photos of their coldest and most grueling winter photos.  The best photo will be selected by Royal Caribbean to win a cruise.

You can submit your photos from now through March 10 by visiting Royal Caribbean's Facebook page. You'll be asked to submit the photo you think best describes your worst winter experience.  

There are four entry periods..

  • Feb. 11-17
  • Feb. 18-24
  • Feb. 25-March 3
  • March 4-10.

Once an entry period is over, the top 25 photos selected by the judges will be posted for everyone to vote on.  Whichever photo has the most likes on Facebook after one week of voting will win a 7-night cruise for two to the Caribbean. One winning photo will be chosen for each entry/voting period.

Royal Caribbean announces winner of Brazilian cruise director contest

Royal Caribbean announced the winner of their recent cruise director contest, created to select and recruit someone who will be responsible for managing and planning the program of entertainment activities on board ships of up to 4000 guests.

João Alberto Fontes of Rio de Janiero, 25, is the youngest director of the Brazilian Cruises Royal Caribbean. The winner had to go through four phases, including approval of the public through Twitter, and interviews. Among the interviewers: Amy Chambers, Department of casting in-flight entertainment, who came from Miami to personally evaluate the  and Steve Millslagle, chief expert of shipboard activities, through a video / audio conferencing.
 
Fans who voted via Twitter competed for a lunch aboard the Mariner of the Seas, the largest ship in the Brazilian season. João Alberto will begin his career with Royal Caribbean aboard the Vision of the Seas, in the next Brazilian season.

Florida Lottery features Royal Caribbean cruise as grand prize

Tickets cost $5 and the game offers players the change to win up to $200,000 instantly and a second chance promotion on the Florida Lottery website has the possibility to win a 7-night Caribbean cruise vacation for two aboard Oasis of the Seas or Allure of the Seas. The new game is available at Florida Lottery retailers statewide.

There will be a total of 112 cruise packages awarded with this game. Five finalists selected for next Cruise Director contest

Five finalists have been selected for Royal Caribbean's contest to find it's next cruise director in Brazil.  The finalists are: Ronaldo Costa, Edvaldo Junior, Elaine Santana, José Carlos Moraes and João Alberto Fontes.

Royal Caribbean also announced the start of a campaign in which fans can vote for the candidate and also qualify to win a lunch aboard the Mariner of the Seas.
