Deck-by-deck changes to Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas

Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas refurbishment is complete and that means a lot of changes have been made to the ship. After receving lots of questions related to how where the changes are onboard the ship, we've compiled a list of the changes coming visually.

Deck 2

  • New staterooms (2240, 2242, 2244, 2246) replace board room

Deck 3

  • Chamber nightclub replaced with new staterooms
  • New staterooms on port side aft (3620, 3622, 3626, 3628)
  • New staterooms replace art & photo gallery
  • Magellan Dining Room renamed Sapphire Dining Room

Deck 4

  • Chamber night club replaced with Giovanni's Table specialty restaurant
  • Eco-learning station and aquarium bar replaced with The Tavern
  • Da Gama Dining room renamed Sapphire Dining Room

Deck 5

  • Maharaja's lounge becomes Star Lounge
  • Champagne Bar replaced by R-Bar
  • Columbus Dining Room renamed Sappire Dining Room

Deck 6

  • Added new stateroom on forward section (6137)
  • Business Services replaced with Next Cruise 

Deck 7

  • New stateroom added (7139)
  • Staterooms 7562, 7564, 7262 & 7264 went from Category D2 to Category E3
  • Staterooms 7630, 7632, 7330, 7332, 7662, 7664, 7362, 7364, 7674, 7676, 7362, 7364, 7374, 7376 went from Category D1 to Category D3

Deck 8

  • Numerous stateroom category changes (see deck plan for specific changes)

Deck 9

  • Stateroom 9237 added
  • Numerous stateroom category changes (see deck plan for specific changes)

Deck 10

  • Stateroom 1233 added
  • Numerous stateroom category changes (see deck plan for specific changes)

Deck 11

  • Outdoor movie screen added
  • Portofino specialty restaurant replaced by Chops Grille specialty restaurant
  • Island Grill becomes Windjammer

Deck 12

  • Staterooms added at forward area around Spa and Fitness center
  • Adventure Beach replaced with Outdoor Youth Area

Deck 13

  • In-line track removed
  • FlowRider added

Deck 14

  • Cloud Nine and Seven Hearts room replaced by Izumi
  • 19th Hole replaced by Diamond Club

Deck 15

  • No changes
