Royal Caribbean released the new deck plans for Freedom of the Seas in preparation for her 2020 Royal Amplified drydock, and that means there are a lot of changes coming to this ship.
After receiving lots of questions regarding where the changes are onboard the ship, we have compiled a list of the changes coming visually.
Note that some existing stateroom categories may have changed, but those are not denoted in this post. This post looks at more significant changes to the ship.
Deck 2
- Conference Center replaced with new staterooms
Deck 3
- Arcadia Theatre renamed to Royal Theater
- On Air Club replaced with staterooms
- Staterooms added near Art Gallery
- Leonardo Dining Room renamed to Main Dining Room
Deck 4
- Arcadia Theatre renamed to Royal Theater
- Sabor replaced by Izumi Hibachi & Sushi
- Focus replaced by Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade
- Isaac Dining Room renamed Main Dining Room
Deck 5
- Connoisseur Club changed to Library Card Room
- Ben & Jerry's extends to include Cupcake Cupboard
- Galileo Dining Room renamed Main Dining Room
Deck 6
- Loyalty Desk replaced by staterooms
- Suite 6414 replaced by smaller suites
Deck 7
- Library replaced by staterooms
Deck 8
- New stateroom added in forward area of deck
- RC Online replaced by staterooms
Deck 9
No significant changes
Deck 10
- Concierge Club replaced by staterooms.
Deck 11
- Staterooms added to left and right of Vitality Fitness Center
- Pool Bar becomes The Lime & Coconut bar
- H2O Zone replaced by Splashaway Bay
- Squeeze Bar replaced by El Loco Fresh
- Giovanni's Table becomes Giovanni's Italian Kitchen
Deck 12
- Sky Bar replaced by The Lime & Coconut
- Adventure Ocean replaced by staterooms
- The Living Room replaced by Adventure Ocean
Deck 13
- Freedom Dunes added to front of ship
- Freedom Fairways replaced by The Perfect Storm waterslides
- Wipe Out! bar removed
Deck 14
- Cloud Nine & Seven Hearts room replaced by Suite Lounge
Deck 15
- Skylight Chapel replaced by Meeting Space
