Royal Caribbean has released its plans for cruises down under in 2023-2024.

Three cruise ships will sail from Australia: Ovation of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas.

"It’s thrilling to welcome back two Quantum Class ships Down Under, demonstrating Royal Caribbean’s commitment to the region. Plus, because there’s always more room for adventure with Royal Caribbean, we’ve taken the opportunity to bring Enchantment of the Seas to Australia to offer unique sailings that visit new destinations we know our guests are excited to explore," said Gavin Smith, managing director of Australia and New Zealand, Royal Caribbean International.

"We look forward to even more guests, their loved ones and families creating memories while holidaying with us in several of the most spectacular places on earth."

Here's a look at each of the ships sailing from Australia:

Quantum of the Seas

Homeport: Brisbane

Following its first summer season in Brisbane in 2022, Quantum of the Seas returns to offer 3- to 13-night cruises.

Itineraries include visits to destinations in Queensland, such as Airlie Beach and Cairns, Queensland. Longer sailings visit places in the South Pacific, such as Port Vila, Vanuatu, and Noumea, New Caledonia.

Ovation of the Seas

Homeport: Sydney

Ovation of the Seas will sail from Australia for the fifth season and offer a series of 9- to 11-night cruises around New Zealand, including Milford Sound, Wellington and Bay of Islands. 

There are also 3- to 9- night cruises around Australia that visit Hobart, Adelaide and Eden; as well as cruises to the South Pacific islands.

Enchantment of the Seas

Homeport: Sydney

Enchantment of the Seas will sail from Australia for the first time, and she will visit some brand new destinations for any Royal Caribbean ship, such as Kangaroo Island and Gladstone, Australia. 

Royal Caribbean has arranged a series of 8- to 11- night cruises to the South Pacific that visit Raiatea, French Polynesia; Isle of Pines, Mare; and Lifou, New Caledonia.

Availability

These new sailings are available to book immediately.

To sweeten the deal, Royal Caribbean is offering half-price deposits for sailings booked by Australians between March 23 and April 5.

Royal Caribbean has released new cruises you can book to destinations in the Caribbean for the 2023-2024 season.

The new batch of itineraries were published to Royal Caribbean's website overnight into Tuesday, and include ships such as Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean has methodically announced new deployments week after week, and this week's batch is categorized under the "Long Caribbean" itinerary.

A notable change in this deployment is Harmony of the Seas will move from Florida to Texas in November 2023.

Harmony of the Seas will move from Miami and begin sailing from Galveston, Texas on November 1, 2023 with a 4-night cruise before changing to 7-night cruises through April 2024.

Symphony of the Seas will shift to Port Everglades after returning from Europe in November 2023. 

From Fort Lauderdale, Symphony will sail alternating 6- and 8-night cruises to the Caribbean.

Odyssey of the Seas will remain in Fort Lauderdale as well, sailing alternating 6- and 8-night cruises through April 2024.

Oasis of the Seas will move back to Miami after completing her summer cruises from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey.

Oasis will start with a 4-night cruise on November 1, 2023 and then switch to 7-night alternating cruises from PortMiami through April 2024.

The biggest cruise ship in the world, Wonder of the Seas, will continue to offer 7-night cruises out of Port Canaveral through April 2024.

Brilliance of the Seas will begin offering 7-night cruises from Tampa. She returns to Tampa after her summer season and sail 7-night Western Caribbean cruises.

Voyager of the Seas will call Port Canaveral home and sail 6- and 8-night cruises around the Caribbean.

What about Icon of the Seas?

You may recall Icon of the Seas, the first ship in the Icon Class, is set to debut sometime in 2023 and she is conspicuously absent from the deployments.

Traditionally, Royal Caribbean releases sailings on a new ship in its own separate deployment. We've seen this with Wonder, Odyssey, and Symphony of the Seas when their initial sailings were put on sale.

Royal Caribbean has not said where Icon of the Seas will sail from yet, but we do know it will debut sometime in fall 2023.

There's new cruises you can book from cities in the northeast United States.

Royal Caribbean released for booking its northeast 2023-2024 deployments from cities such as Bayonne (New York City) and Baltimore.

Five cruise ships will offer cruises from New York and Baltimore to destinations around the Caribbean, Bahamas, Canada and beyond.

The array of new sailings include 4 to 11 night cruises to destinations in Bermuda, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and New England.

Bayonne/New York City

Four ships will offer cruises from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey between 2023-2024.

Liberty of the Seas will offer 4-, 5- and 9-night cruises to Canada, Bermuda and the Bahamas.

Anthem of the Seas will sail a 6-11 night cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas in the winter of 2023-2024, before sailing a transatlantic to Southampton in May 2023.

Oasis of the Seas will return to the New York City area in summer 2023 to offer cruises to Canada, the Bahamas, and Caribbean.

If you want something more exotic, Jewel of the Seas will sail from Cape Liberty in the fall of 2023 and offer 10- and 11-night open-jaw sailings between Cape Liberty and Quebec.

Something truly out there is Jewel's single voyage roundtrip from Cape Liberty to Greenland.  It's a 14-night cruise that visits Nuluk and Qaqortoq in Greenland, before stopping in Newfoundland, Canada on its way back.

Baltimore

Vision of the Seas will replace Enchantment of the Seas from Baltimore in 2023.

Guests can book a variety of cruises from Baltimore on Vision of the Seas, including cruises that visit Bermuda, Perfect Day at CocoCay, southeastern United States, and the Southern Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean's new 2023 European cruises are now available to book.

The new sailings are available to book via Royal Caribbean's website, offering a variety of ships and itineraries during the summer months when Royal Caribbean deploys its cruise ships to the region.

There are sailings between April and November 2023 to book across 9 different ships. That's a large proportion of Royal Caribbean's fleet.

Here is a breakdown of where the ships will be sailing from:

Anthem of the Seas will sail from Southampton, UK and offer cruises of various lengths to destinations in Spain, Portugal, Norway and the Canary Islands.

You'll be able to visit destinations new to Anthem, including Maloy and Haugesund, Norway, and Cork, Ireland. Longer, 11- and 12-night vacations will go further to places such as Lisbon, Portugal; Vigo, Spain; and the Canary Islands. 

Brilliance of the Seas will offer cruises from different ports in Europe, including Athens, Venice, and Rome (Civitavecchia) on sailings throughout the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, as well as the Adriatic.

Something new for Brilliance will be the opportunity to visit Praetorian Palace in Koper, Slovenia.

Explorer of the Seas will sail from Venice (Ravenna) to offer cruises in the Adriatic, as well as to the Greek isles.

Explorer will allow passengers to visit Olympia, Greece – the birthplace of the Olympic Games – for the first time.

Jewel of the Seas will be based in Amsterdam, and offer 8 and 12 night cruises to Iceland & Ireland, as well as Norway fjords cruises. She even has a 12-night Arctic Circle cruise.

Odyssey of the Seas will return to the Europe again to be based in Rome (Civitavecchia).  Odyssey will offer 7- to 12-night cruises around the Greek Isles.  Odyssey also has a 12-night Holy Land cruise in May 2023.

Vacationers have a choice of 7- to 9-night cruises from Rome to Naples, Italy; the idyllic Greek Isles and Turkey, as well as 12-night Holy Land sailings to the historic, bustling cities of Limassol, Cyprus; Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey; and Jerusalem, Israel. 

Rhapsody of the Seas will be the first Royal Caribbean ship to sail from Limassol and Haifa, Israel, all in one season. The new summer combination consists of 7-night sailings to ports of call in Turkey, Israel and Greece, including first-time destinations for the cruise line, like Skiathos and Thessaloniki, Greece.

Starting in September, the ship will take off on short 4- and 5-night getaways from Haifa and visit Cyprus and the Greek Isles.

Serenade of the Seas will homeport out of Barcelona, Spain and offer 5-, 8-, and 12-night cruises in the Western Mediterranean.

Symphony of the Seas will also sail from Barcelona, with 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises to enjoy. 

Travelers can set course on 7-night cruises, from Barcelona or Rome, to bucket list destinations like Naples, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and Provence, France. 

Voyager of the Seas will be based in Copenhagen, and offer primarily Scandinavian and Russian cruises. Voyager will also offer two Best of Northern Europe cruises during the season.

Guests looking for a longer vacation can cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Copenhagen on a 14-night sailing that features an overnight in Bermuda and visits to St. Thomas, France and Belgium. 

This is the third 2023 deployment released so far, as Royal Caribbean released Alaska 2023 cruises and longer Caribbean 2023 cruises last month.

More itineraries will be released later this spring, including Northeast cruises, Los Angeles, Short Caribbean and more. There is no dates yet for when these new itineraries will be released. 

Booking early can save you money

Thinking about booking a cruise a year and a half away may seem excessive, but it is one of the best ways to get the best price on a cruise.

Generally speaking, the lowest prices for cruises are available when new itineraries are released, such as these Europe 2023 sailings. Over time, prices will go up as more and more cabins are booked up.

Royal Caribbean released new 5-night cruises and 7- to 8-night sailings Caribbean sailings for summer 2023 that are available to book immediately.

Highlighting the new offerings is Allure of the Seas will sail from Royal Caribbean's new terminal in Galveston year-round and Wonder of the Seas will sail from Port Canaveral year-round (Nov. 2022 – Oct. 2023).

Harmony of the Seas will move to Miami to be based there for the first time.

Summer 2023 Caribbean cruises are now open, with more Caribbean getaways to be revealed early next year.

Here's a look at what Royal Caribbean has planned for summer 2023 in the Caribbean:

Allure of the Seas sailing from Galveston will be the first Oasis Class ship to call Galveston home.

Royal Caribbean has extended Allure’s Texas debut in winter 2022-2023 and opened a lineup of 7-night Western Caribbean cruises. Itineraries include stops at  Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Roatan, Honduras.

The new cruise terminal in Galveston will open in October 2022.

The 161,300-square-foot and LEED-certified terminal, built in partnership with Galveston Wharves, was built to be able to accommodate Royal Caribbean's largest ships, including Oasis and Icon Class ships.

Wonder of the Seas will offer summer cruises from the United States for the first time in 2023 when she sails from Port Canaveral, extending its newly announced 2022 winter season that starts in November.

Cruises on Wonder of the Seas will include 7-night  Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises. Highlights include Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Cozumel; and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Harmony of the Seas will transition to Miami, offering 7-night Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises to places like Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; Charlotte
Amalie; Oranjestad, Aruba; Costa Maya; and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Mariner of the Seas will continue to call Port Canaveral home and sail a variety of of 5, 7 and 8 night cruises to Bermuda, and the Eastern, Western and Southern
Caribbean.

And on all 8-night Bermuda and Perfect Day at CocoCay cruises, there are two nights in Bermuda.

Should you book a 2023 cruise now?

Booking a cruise for two years from now may seem like a strange idea, but booking early is one of the best ways to save money on a cruise.

Europe 2023 deployment delayed

Europe was also scheduled to be released this week, but that has been pushed back.

Royal Caribbean updated its deployment schedule and the Europe 2023 cruises have been delayed for the second time.

Originally, Europe Summer 2023 was set to open the week of December 6, 2021, but they delayed it until the week of December 13. It will now be released on the week of January 3, 2022.

Three of Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class cruise ships will play a game of musical chairs for sailings scheduled in 2022 and 2023.

The changes include some cancellations and redeployments, partially due to Royal Caribbean's announcement earlier today that Wonder of the Seas will sail from Port Canaveral in November 2022 to April 2023.

The changes apply to previously scheduled sailings on Symphony, Harmony, & Wonder of the Seas.

Here is a breakdown of the changes:

Wonder of the Seas

Before today's announcement, Royal Caribbean had Wonder of the Seas sailing from China.  

Impacted sailings are between October 29th, 2022 – January 17th, 2023.

The Wonder of the Seas 10/29/22 – 1/17/23: China sailings are cancelled, since Wonder has been redeployed to Port Canaveral.

Non-China guests are provided option of 125% FCC or 100% Refund.

Harmony of the Seas

Wonder of the Seas will replace Harmony of the Seas in Port Canaveral, affecting Harmony of the Seas sailings between November 6th, 2022 – April 23rd, 2023.

The November 6, 2022 sailing is cancelled. Guests booked on this sailing will be provided option to rebook on a select sailing or 100% refund.

Harmony of the Seas sailings between November 13, 2022 – April 23rd, 2023 have been transferred to Wonder of the Seas.

Guests will be auto transferred from Harmony to Wonder in like for like accommodations with price protection.

Guests booked in suites on Harmony will be contacted directly. Downgraded suites will have all Suite Class amenities protected, along with $300 onboard credit per stateroom.

Royal Caribbean also modified the itinerary of 7 sailings:

• 5 itineraries removed Perfect Day at CocoCay. As a result, these bookings will be provided $100 OBC per stateroom.
• 2 other itineraries had ports of call changed, with no onboard credit offered.

Instead of sailing from Port Canaveral, Harmony will be redeployed to Fort Lauderdale between 11/12/22 – 3/4/23 to offer new 6- and 8-night itineraries.

Harmony of the Seas then moves to Miami for cruises between 3/11/23 – 4/22/23 to replace Symphony of the Seas.

Symphony of the Seas

Symphony of the Seas will have her deployment altered, but not replaced, for sailings between March 4th, 2023 – April 29th, 2023.

The March 4, 2023 sailing has been shortened from 7-Night to 5-Night. Guests will be provided $100 OBC to stay on sailing. They also have the option to stay on 5-night cruise, rebook a select sailing, or 100% refund.

Symphony of the Seas sailings between 3/11/23 - 4/29/23 have been transferred to Harmony of the Seas.

Guests will be auto transferred from Symphony to Harmony in like for like accommodations with price protection.

Europe 2023 deployment delayed again

Royal Caribbean updated its deployment schedule and the Europe 2023 cruises have been delayed for the second time.

Originally, Europe Summer 2023 was set to open the week of December 6, 2021, but they delayed it until the week of December 13. It will now be released on the week of January 3, 2022.

Capitals of Culture

The new sailings are part of the 2022-2023 Northeast United States deployment, and begin on November 3, 2022.

Enchantment of the Seas will return to Baltimore, offering a variety of longer sailings that range in duration between 7 and 12 nights.

Enchantment of the Seas will remain in Baltimore, having replaced Grandeur of the Seas after it looked like Grandeur would be sold to Pullmantur Cruises.  That plan was cancelled following the global health crisis shutting down the cruise industry and subsequent financial difficulties for Pullmantur.

There are a great variety of ports you can visit during your Enchantment of the Seas cruise, including Charleston, South Carolina; Perfect Day at CocoCay; St Kitts; Antigua and more.

Royal Caribbean has released a new round of 2022-2023 itineraries for sale.

This week, the "Other/Long Caribbean" for Winter 2022-2023 went on sale today, encompassing five cruise ships. These new sailings are available to book immediately.

Odyssey of the Seas will sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and offer a mix of 6-, 7-, and 8-night Caribbean sailings from November 2022 through March 2023.  

Once stateside, Odyssey will sail 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries that visit destinations such as Labadee, Haiti; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao and La Romana, Dominican Republic.

The Quantum Ultra Clas ship will alternate 8-night Southern Caribbean cruises with 6-night Western Caribbean sailings that visit island gems Falmouth, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas on every sailing.

Explorer of the Seas will offer cruises from PortMiami that anywhere between 6- and 9-nights long, including Southern Caribbean itineraries. The 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries to the ABC Islands will have late stays in both Kralendijk and Willemstad on every sailing. Explorer will alternate with 6-night adventures that visit Falmouth; George Town; and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Grandeur of the Seas will begin sailing from PortMiami as well in November 2022, and offer 5-night Western Caribbean jaunts to Labadee and Key West, Florida, alternating with 9-night cruises to Castries, Bridgetown, Barbados; St. John’s, and Basseterre.

Jewel of the Seas will arrive in Port Canaveral in November 2022 to sail 5- to 9-night cruises. Jewel even has cruises visiting Bimini, Bahamas. The ship will make late-night visits to San Juan and Oranjestad in addition to longer days in Bonaire’s Kralendijk. 

Jewel will also embark on 6-night adventures to western Caribbean destinations, including Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Falmouth; and Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.

Vision of the Seas will call Fort Lauderdale home in November 2022 and offer the longest sailings of the group, with 9-, 10- and 11-night cruises to destinations throughout the Caribbean. 

Vision’s 10-night itineraries visit a variety of popular ports of call, including San Juan, Puerto Rico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; Castries, St. Lucia; St. Johns, Antigua and private destination Labadee. The 11-night sailings take guests to exotic tropical locales like Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Colon, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; Oranjestad; Kralendijk, Bonaire and Willemstad.

The release of the Long Caribbean Winter 2022-2023 cruises follows the release other deployments, including 7-night Caribbean,  Short Caribbean, Northeast and China & Hawaii sailings a few weeks ago.

Over the next few weeks, more sailings will be released for the 2022-2023 season, although changes to the deployment schedule are possible.

One of the most popular types of cruises was just released by Royal Caribbean today.

As part of its new deployments, Royal Caribbean announced new 7-night Caribbean and Northeast cruises for winter 2022-2023.

Royal Caribbean’s 2022-2023 7-night Caribbean cruises open for bookings today, March 3. 

Symphony of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas will sail from Miami with stops in ports such as Costa Maya, Roatán, Philipsburg, Charlotte Amalie and San Juan. Most itineraries include a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, and at least two sea days.

As we reported yesterday, Allure of the Seas will call Galveston home and sail from Texas in 2022 to the western Caribbean, Central America and the Yucatán.

Royal Caribbean’s new state-of-the-art cruise terminal will begin construction in April and is set to open in fall 2022. 

Voyager of the Seas will sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico in winter 2022-2023. She will offer 7-night sailings to the Southern Caribbean, with stops in St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados and St. Lucia.

Harmony of the Seas will continue to offer 7-night sailings from Port Canaveral to the eastern Caribbean.

Serenade of the Seas will sail from Tampa and offer western Caribbean cruises with stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Cozumel, Roatán, Bimini, and more. THere will also be a 10-night sailing along the Panama Canal with visits to unique ports in Colombia and Costa Rica. 

From Baltimore, Enchantment of the Seas will offer a 5-or 6-night getaway to Bermuda, including overnight stays in Kings Wharf. There will also be 8- or 9-night itineraries to the Caribbean that include stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay. 

In the fall, Enchantment will head north and offer an 8-night New England and Canada that visits Maine, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
