Monarch of the Seas to host Ante Up Poker Cruise

Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas will host the Ante Up Poker Cruise, which is scheduled from August 29 to September 2, 2011.

A usual, the Ante Up Poker Cruise offers various multi-table tournaments, cash games as well the flagship event Ante Up Poker Tour. And participants can play poker no limit hold'em, limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, HORSE or HORSE limit during this Summer Cruise.  Monarch of the Seas' conference room will be converted this time by the poker room. And note that a leading player will also be part of the adventure.

There are also many cash in major poker tournaments like the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit. And on this trip, it will offer a free course of poker through a two-hour session during which Poker professional Lee Childs will share his experiences and best strategies.

Boarding will take place August 29 and after the small reception to accommodate passengers happily, the poker room will be open for Sit & Go.

Monarch of the Seas will stop in the Bahamas and passengers may also participate in tournaments at the Crystal Palace Casino. The tournament Ante Up Poker Tour $ 125 will be held on Thursday 1st September. And the ship will reach Port Canaveral Friday, September 2. The next and final Ante Up Poker Cruise will then take place in December.

Freedom of the Seas to host Poker Super Cruise

HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc., operators the Canadian Poker Tour, announced that they will hold a "Poker Super Cruise" on the Freedom of the Seas launching March 23, 2011 from Port Canaveral, Florida.  The event will span two weeks and two cruises, covering a Western and Eastern itinerary.  In addition to holding the event on the ship, HeadsUp announced that a major television deal is currently being finalized that will allow for broadcast of the event and allow for sponsorship revenues to increase dramatically from previous events. 

HeadsUp is also scheduling dates for additional cruises departing from other ports and anticipates ultimately hosting up to 6 cruise events annually.

"The expansion of the poker vacation market has become a major focus for the Company as revenues are maximized in this event structure," commented HeadsUp President and CEO Kelly B. Kellner. "The event earlier this year was testament to a growing demand in the Canadian and international marketplace and building this proprietary revenue model will be a substantial move to increasing shareholder value."
